About Us

Southeast Journeys is an academic semester program specifically tailored to help children with Asperger's Syndrome, Non-verbal Learning Disorder, and High-Functioning Autism and other related disorders thrive in an experiential learning environment. Academics, social skills training, expert staff and peer support come together in a nurturing atmosphere to help children build self-confidence and gain more independence in school, within social interactions and in the community. It is a journey that enables students – who may have struggled in more traditional environments - to seek their full potential for life success.

Southeast Journeys is a Talisman Program. For over 25 years Talisman Programs have been providing life and learning experiences for children with ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome and other learning disorders. Talisman programs offer students opportunities to develop physical and social competence in an atmosphere that encourages and supports self-regulation and self-direction.

Southeast Journeys located in the small town of Zirconia, in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, just south of Hendersonville. Our rustic campus is surrounded by woodlands, close to Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Park, and numerous other recreational areas. We are easy to reach from Atlanta, Greenville, SC, and Charlotte.
